Compare the recorded condition and preparation
Demo identifies the supplier’s recorded Demo condition. Refurbished identifies a configuration offered under the refurbished condition. The site does not move Demo into Refurbished merely because both are alternatives to New.
Ask what is known about the individual unit’s preparation and history. A Demo label alone does not prove untouched packaging, display use or a repair history; a refurbished label does not prove that every component has been replaced.
Compare like-for-like hardware
Match the exact CPU, generation, memory, storage, graphics and display. A newer processor can matter more than a higher tier badge on an older platform, and memory or SSD differences can explain a large part of the price difference.
Model names are not enough. A single model family may contain different screens, operating systems and ports. Follow the category’s exact configuration link and compare the variant details before deciding whether two offers are equivalent.
Account for cosmetic and support differences
Read the stated grade and inspect the available images. Grade is independent from condition and does not guarantee battery capacity, included accessories or warranty coverage. Ask about details that affect your use rather than assuming the cleaner label means a better battery.
Check the published warranty, returns information, charger and final delivered cost. If an upgrade is necessary, confirm compatibility and labour cost. A lower initial price can become a poor deal if it requires changes that were not included in the comparison.
Choose around the buyer’s priorities
A team may prioritise matching quantity and deployment consistency; an individual may prioritise screen quality, portability or cosmetic condition. Both can make a sound purchase from either category when the exact offer meets the requirement.
The separate commercial categories show current stock without declaring one condition superior. Use the four-condition hub for broader terminology and the Demo value guide when deciding whether a particular discount compensates for your condition preferences.
